[The camera fades back in on the ring with Jeff Beam and Ken Davison waiting for the bell.]

{ring}
The referee calls for the bell to begin the match.

"Iron Man" Jeff Beam vs "Godly" Ken Davison
6'-7", 267 lbs — 5'-10", 220 lbs
(One Fall Singles Match for the Intercontinental Title)
____________________________________________

{ring}
Davison attacks Beam quickly by hitting a missile drop kick which connects with Beam's head. Davison then stomps on Beam's face while he's on the canvas several times before picking him up and whipping him to the ropes. As Beam comes off, Davison hits a beautiful spinning heel kick on the Intercontinental Champion. Davison goes for the cover at this point, but Beam kicks out before the referee even begins counting.

{commentary}
Nicholas Chase:
Davison is really taking it to Beam early on!

Michael Richardson: Davison is one heck of a good wrestler. I don't think it is wise for Beam to overlook him.

Nicholas Chase: I don't think he's trying to overlook him. I really don't know who to root for in this match. Both of these guys are great wrestlers.

Michael Richardson: Just call it down the middle.

Nicholas Chase:
Nah... that's giving up what I do best. I at least have to be a fair weather friend, you know.

Michael Richardson: I guess you're entitled to that.

{ring}
Davison has Beam in a front facelock at this time, but Beam is trying to break the hold by hitting Davison on the gut. Eventually Beam succeeds leaving Davison stunned in the middle of the ring. Beam then bounces against the ropes and runs at Davison only to catch a kneelift to the face from Davison. Davison then waits a bit while Beam tries getting back up from the canvas, then drops a reverse elbow to Beam's sternum. Davison then goes for the cover.

{commentary}
Michael Richardson:
One... two... nothing. Beam kicked out in plenty of time.

Nicholas Chase:
I have to say that Davison is impressing me right now. He's really doing a good job with Beam, keeping him on the defensive end of everything... that's something Beam isn't used to.

Michael Richardson: Definitely a good strategy.

Nicholas Chase:
Well, anyone could come up with that as a strategy. It's a lot tougher to execute a strategy like that than to just say you're going to do it.

Michael Richardson: I guess you're right.

Nicholas Chase:
I know I'm right. Oh my! Slingshot facebuster into the turnbuckle by Davison!

{ring}
Beam is in the corner holding his face after the facebuster. There is a good amount of cheering in the audience though there are some audible boos as well. Davison picks up Beam and has a smug expression on his face as he decides what he is going to do with Beam's limp body.

{commentary}
Michael Richardson:
What's this?

Nicholas Chase:
I don't know, but I think Davison has a big trick up his sleeve.

{ring}
Davison picks lifts up Beam and somehow musters up the strength to hold him in position for a vertical suplex. He holds him there for several seconds before clumsily turning him into position for a reverse piledriver.

{commentary}
Nicholas Chase:
He's doing the "Iron Maiden"!

{ring}
As Davison comes down to put the finishing touches on the maneuver, one notices that Davison suddenly collapses. One finally realizes that he didn't actually collapse, but was rolled up into a small package by Beam.

{commentary}
Nicholas Chase:
Wait... small package by Beam! Oh my gosh! One! Two! Three! Beam pulled it off! He pulled it off!

Michael Richardson: That's the most excited I've ever seen you about a match.

Nicholas Chase:
Two of my favorite wrestlers in a match like this is enough to put me over the edge.

Michael Richardson: Isn't there a copyright on that phrase?

Nicholas Chase:
Who knows and who cares.

{ring}
The pajama clad Davison looks on in shock as an exhausted Beam is handed the Intercontinental title and has his arm raised in victory.

{cut to shot of the commentary table}
Chase has regained his composure though he still looks pretty happy while Richardson appears a little indifferent.

{commentary}
Michael Richardson:
Well, that was sure a shocking conclusion to that match. Davison literally dominated Beam through the whole thing.

Nicholas Chase: Beam has determination whether or not he appears a bit arrogant at times. You can never count him out even if it looks like it's the end of the line for him. I hope you realize that his next defense, win or lose, will mark the most ever title defenses of the Intercontinental belt. No one has ever defended it more times... at least after his next defense.

Michael Richardson: That happens to be the second most forfeited belt... just behind the Television Title. Of course, I don't see Beam forfeiting it. He's been a great champion so far.

Nicholas Chase: If the federation could just go strong for a few months then maybe we could see more title defenses from these guys. Anyway, they've just lowered the steel cage. This is going to be an incredible match next. I really have no predictions.

Michael Richardson: Even with Pickney wrestling?

Nicholas Chase:
Well, Pickney is great... but I really think he's carrying out this whole "B.I.T.C.H.E.S." thing out the wrong way. I think he's kissing up a little too much to the fans.

Michael Richardson: I thought you said he was a corporate... corporate schmoozer.

Nicholas Chase: Schmoozer? Is that even a word? Nevermind that, actually. Anyway, his problem is he's trying to rally the fans behind him. Now it's one thing to put on a good, offensive show and have the fans love it. But it's another to start speaking in a way that sounds like you want the fans to adore you. As much as I like Pickney, it makes me sick.

Michael Richardson: I think you're a little off base right there. I don't think I've seen Pickney really playing up to the fans. And even if he does, so what? That doesn't mean anything when you're in there in the ring facing another wrestler.

Nicholas Chase: One's mental state has a lot to do with it, my friend. I haven't seen Pickney displaying his cocky traits very often. After he beat up Bully and Beam just last week after his match, I heard him in the locker room saying he regretted doing that. It seems to me that he didn't want to have any skullduggery going on in that match. I personally have to think twice about anyone who's afraid to do a little skulldiggery... especially after the way he tricked Da SuPerFan into that match with him.

Michael Richardson: I guess you're right. Anyhow, Pickney and the Bully are in the ring now. This match is ready to begin.

{cut to shot of the ring}
The bell rings and immediately Pickney and Bully go at it.

Beantown Bully vs "Hip Hop" Paul Pickney
6'-1", 254 2lbs — 6'-2", 247 lbs
(One Fall Singles Match in an Enclosed Steel Cage)

{ring}
Pickney tries to out brawl Bully from the beginning, but soon Bully is in the advantage and mauls Pickney down to the canvas. Bully then locks on a vicious arm bar that looks like he is trying to break Pickney's arm off. Pickney is yelling due to the pain.

{commentary}
Nicholas Chase:
Come on, Pickney! The match has only begun.

Michael Richardson: Beantown just let go of the hold. Look at this! A gorilla press on Pickney. Oh no! Bully just threw him into the cage!

Nicholas Chase: Oh gosh! That was one hard shot.

{ring}
Pickney's face is now bleeding as Bully walks over to him with an almost insane expression on his face. As he gets near Pickney, however, Pickney grabs him by the tights and pulls Bully hard enough to hit the wall of the steel cage very solidly. Bully's face now begins to bleed.

{commentary}
Nicholas Chase:
There we go! That's what I want to see!

Michael Richardson:
This is going to be one messy match.

{ring}
Bully is busy trying to recouperate, but Pickney runs against the opposite ropes, then flies at Bully with a foreward leap, grabs him around the neck, and smashes Bully's face into the cage once again, increasing the gash in his head. Pickney hits the cage hard as well and falls down to the canvas.

{commentary}
Nicholas Chase:
Oooh... that wasn't a very smart move.

Michael Richardson:
Good call. I'd say Pickney took about as hard of a hit as Bully did with that one. There's no way out of this cage either... not until the referee decides to unlock it.

Nicholas Chase: What happens if they kill the referee in there?

Michael Richardson: Well, nothing is going to stop them from taking the keys from the ref to unlock the cage if that happens.

Nicholas Chase: I guess you're right.

{ring}
Bully limply covers Pickney with one arm at this point, but Pickney kicks out at the one count. Bully then gets up and starts stomping on Pickney's back. Pickney tries to get up, but every time he is met with a boot to the kidney area sending him back down to the canvas. Finally, Pickney rolls out of the way and then executes a drop toe hold to Bully. Pickney then leaps into the air and drives a knee into Bully's head... in fact it was a very hard hitting knee to the back of the head.

{commentary}
Nicholas Chase:
Pickney drove that knee into Bully's head pretty hard. He might have been disqualified for that in a regular match.

Michael Richardson: Wait... look at this. Look who just came to ringside!

{cut to ringside shot}
Jeff Beam and Dominator of Destruction are at ringside now eliciting a fairly positive reaction from the audience. They look as if they are only there to watch the match.

{commentary}
Nicholas Chase:
Jeff Beam and Dominator together? I wonder what brought this about?

Michael Richardson: Well, I don't know what either of these guys has to do with Bully or Pickney... but it can't be good.

Nicholas Chase: Don't be so judgemental.

{cut to shot of the ring}
Pickney has just been caught with a powerslam which ended up slamming him back first into the wall of the cage. At this point the audience is really cheering on the match as they get behind the Bully. Bully then goes for a cover only to have Pickney kick out quickly. They both get up at about the same time, but Pickney is able to get the drop on Bully and he hits a clothesline... but it doesn't do anything to him. The crowd cheers more.

{commentary}
Nicholas Chase:
Come on, Pickney! That isn't going to beat Bully!

Michael Richardson: Sometimes you have to try different things. He had to give it a try.

Nicholas Chase: You realize these two only have about two minutes left to wrap this up if even that? One of them really has to start getting on the offensive!

{ring}
Pickney runs the ropes now and flies at Bully with a cross body block. He quickly goes for the cover but only gets a one count. As they get up, Bully pushes him to the canvas only to have Pickney hop back up to his feet. Pickney then leaps up and executes a hurricanrana into a pin on Bully. Bully kicks out a two. Pickney runs the ropes once again as Bully gets up to his feet. Bully, not sure what Pickney is going to do next, runs a bit too close to Pickney as he executes a perfect Asai moonsault leveling Bully. The crowd is still cheering loudly as Pickney makes a motion as if he is going for his finisher.

{commentary}
Nicholas Chase:
Pickney had better hurry up with this! Time on the clock is running out!

Michael Richardson: So you're taking Pickney's side now, huh?

Nicholas Chase:
Of course! Who would ever take that piece of human trash known as the Beantown Bully's side anyway?

Michael Richardson: I knew it wouldn't last...

Nicholas Chase:
What?

{ring}
Pickney is now on the top rope. Bully looks helpless in front of Pickney as he stands at his full height. Pickney then springs off the top rope into a somersault splash which lands perfectly on Bully... except Pickney bounces off.

{commentary}
Nicholas Chase:
No! Bully raised his knees! No! I can't believe it!

Michael Richardson: This match looks like it's all over now! Bully has Pickney right where he wants him!

Nicholas Chase: Please clock! Tick a little faster!

{ring}
The crowd starts counting down as Bully prepares to execute the Beantown Beatdown.

"FIVE! FOUR!"

Bully has just slammed Pickney to the canvas with the spinebuster.

"THREE! TWO!"

{commentary}
Nicholas Chase:
It's either going to be a fast count or a time limit draw! Please don't count fast ref!

{ring}
The ref's hand slaps the mat once.

"ONE!"

{commentary}
Michael Richardson:
One!

{ring}
The ref's hand slaps the mat for a second time.

"ZERO!" There is a mixture of booing and cheering.

{commentary}
Michael Richardson:
Two!

Nicholas Chase:
It's over, Mikey!

{ring}
The bell rings, but the ref's hand slaps the mat for the third and last time.

There is a lot of cheering at this time.

{commentary}
Michael Richardson:
Three! Bully wins!

Nicholas Chase:
No he didn't! The time limit expired! Pickney was saved by the bell.

{ring}
At this point the time keeper and the ring announcer both walk up to the door to the steel cage which the referee opens. They start discussing something as Bully looks on in disbelief. It looks like he's about ready to tear someone apart.

{commentary}
Nicholas Chase:
Pickney was saved by the bell. That's what the time keeper is going to tell them.

Michael Richardson: Well, the ring announcer's there. He doesn't want to give anyone the wrong information.

{ring}
Dominator of Destruction and Jeff Beam now enter the ring and get into the mix with the referee, time keeper and ring announcer. They don't look very happy. They listen in as the discussion ensues. A bloody Pickney raises himself off the canvas and walks over to the discussion party trying to listen in as well. Bully still stands off by himself because it seems he feels he's about to get screwed.

{commentary}
Nicholas Chase:
Come on, ref! Listen to reason!

{ring}
A smile crosses over Dominator and Jeff Beam's faces at this point. Pickney looks a little shocked.

{commentary}
Nicholas Chase:
I think they're about to declare it a time limit draw! Dominator and Beam have joined Pickney's side. Pickney can't believe he just dodged a bullet!

Michael Richardson: I don't know, Slick. We'll see.

{ring}
[The ring announcer walks to the center of the ring as the steel cage is being hoisted back into position above the arena.]

Ring Announcer:
The time limit had expired before the referee finished the three count.

[The audience boos loudly as the announcer says those words, though there is a little cheering.]

{commentary}
Nicholas Chase:
Well, I don't like draws... but this is better than nothing.

{ring}
Ring Announcer:
However, the referee has waived the time limit rule due to the fact that Bully had Pickney pinned before the time had expired, therefore the match is awarded to the Beantown Bully!

[The booing suddenly switches to deafening cheers. Bully looks quite surprised and Pickney looks dejected. Beam and Dominator then go over to Bully and congratulate him.]

{commentary}
Nicholas Chase:
I can't believe this! They gave the match to Bully!

Michael Richardson:
I think that was a wise decision on part of the referee. We're out of time, though, folks. We will be preempted next week, so catch us the following week. See ya!
